1 local flower shops in Polk County
Johnston has one florist, the 6th largest selection in Polk County, where Des Moines accounts for 15 on its own. With one shop covering the town, ring before setting out: a single florist is more likely to be out on deliveries or closed for a funeral than a larger operation.
If nothing here suits, the nearest larger choice is Ankeny, about 5 miles away, with 3 florists. Bear in mind that a shop delivering out of its own town will usually charge more for it and may need more notice.
Chrysanthemums, dahlias and autumn foliage are all local now, and dahlias in particular will be better than anything shipped in. The season closes sharply with the first frost.
Only 1 florist is listed under Johnston itself. Most shops around here file their address under Des Moines, where there are 15, about 8.5 miles away.
