2 local flower shops in Linn County
Mount Vernon has two florists, the 3rd largest selection in Linn County, where Cedar Rapids accounts for 14 on its own. That is a small enough choice that same-day work is worth phoning about rather than assuming, particularly on the run-up to a holiday when a small shop books out quickly.
If nothing here suits, the nearest larger choice is Cedar Rapids, about 14 miles away, with 14 florists. Bear in mind that a shop delivering out of its own town will usually charge more for it and may need more notice.
Chrysanthemums, dahlias and autumn foliage are all local now, and dahlias in particular will be better than anything shipped in. The season closes sharply with the first frost.
Only 2 florists are listed under Mount Vernon itself. Most shops around here file their address under Cedar Rapids, where there are 14, about 13.8 miles away.
