Idaho's flower trade splits sharply between the Boise metro, which supports a competitive independent florist scene, and a large rural remainder where a single shop may serve a whole county. If you are sending flowers to a small Idaho town, phoning the nearest florist directly is usually faster and cheaper than a national service, which will simply subcontract the same shop and take a cut. The mountain growing season is short but produces excellent peonies and sunflowers in high summer.
