That makes late spring the moment to buy flowers in Indiana. Peonies do not ship well and have a short national season, so an Indiana florist in early June is selling something genuinely local and at its best. The rest of the year follows the standard Midwest pattern: strong summer and autumn local supply, almost entirely imported material from December through March.
